Vacuum Cleaner Review: Shark 2-in-1 Hand and Stick Vacuum
A Versatile Vacuum for Bare Floors, Carpets, and Small Cleaning Jobs
The Shark 2-in-1 Hand and Stick vacuum looks somewhat like a conventional vacuum. Dirt and debris are sucked up and deposited in a transparent dirt cup as this Shark is bagless. It has a power-brush to agitate floors and carpet and sweep the dirt towards the suction. However, when you want to reach dirt and dust in crevices, you replace the power brush agitator with a crevice tool. This transforms the Shark 2-in-1 Hand and Stick vacuum into rather large hand vacuum.
In just over three months of use, the Shark 2-in-1 Hand and Stick Vacuum has proven useful around our home. We generally use our Shark 2-in-1 Hand and Stick Vacuum for small hand vacuum jobs and vacuuming bare floor areas like kitchens, hallways, and bathrooms. The 10.8V motor provides plenty of suction power. The battery lasts well enough for lots of little jobs, but probably only provides 15 minutes of sustained use. This would probably not provide enough power to fully replace a traditional vacuum or clean an entire house. Fortunately, it is easy to remove the battery and place it in the provide charging station.
I like the power of this vacuum and the freedom from cords. In addition to the power, I like having a large hand vacuum available because I can use it to reach things in corners and along ceilings. The adjustable length handle makes it easy to adjust to users of any height. However, my wife finds the Shark 2-in-1 Hand and Stick vacuum cumbersome. It can be unwieldy to convert from a traditional vacuum to a hand vacuum. Then, as a hand vacuum, the Shark 2-in-1 Hand and Stick Vacuum is rather bulky and heavy when compared to our Dirt Devil Easy Lite or our old Kurv hand vacuum.
Overall, the Shark 2-in-1 Hand and Stick Vacuum is a well-made product that might not be for everyone. However, it does offer a useful alternative to a traditional vacuum cleaner and a traditional hand vacuum. The Shark 2-in-1 Hand and Stick Vacuum might be very useful in small apartments, dormitories, and other confined spaces. Plus, for about $70, the Shark 2-in-1 Hand and Stick Vacuum is also very affordable. I'd recommend the Shark 2-in-1 Hand and Stick Vacuum if it meets your cleaning needs.
