Vajazzle: Bedazzle Your Bikini Area

Just like Jennifer Love Hewitt and Kathie Lee

If you haven't heard of what it means to "vajazzle" yet, it is a new craze, primarily among the celebrities in Hollywood, such as Jennifer Love Hewitt and Kathie Lee. It uses the same principle as bedazzeling your clothes and accessories, but applies it to your pubic region. This new "below the belt" trend in beauty is generating a mass amount of buzz in the private sector, as many woman can't imagine taking the time and effort to do such a thing.

Professional Vajazzle designs can be applied in a spa type environment, for around $115, with each application lasting a week. The process begins with removing all the hair from the region. After the area is clean and smooth, jewels and crystals are applied in the design of your choice.

If the concept of vajazzle peaks your interest, but the price seems too much, or the service is not available in your local area, here's what you need to do to vajazzle your own. Your own application is not safe to wear for more than 24 hours, but can be reapplied as many times as desired. Some vajazzle kits are safe for reuse, while others are safe for one application only.

Step One

Select and purchase a crystal body tattoo. These are available from a variety of retailers both online and off, in a variety of patterns and colors. Common ones include: lips, butterflies, hearts, and stars. Pay careful attention to the application instructions available with your kit, because they will let you know if the jewels are safe for reuse.

Step Two

Shave or wax the bikini area to remove all hair from it. It is important that the area be clean shaven as the crystals will not stick to areas with hair. Before beginning the application, pat the area dry with a towel. Do not use any additional products on the area, because clean dry skin is more receptive to the adhesive on the crystals.

Step Three

Apply the pattern to the pubic region, focusing on the top area only. It is important for hygienic reasons to avoid the lower area of the region. Apply the pattern as desired. If assistance is required, call on a spouse or partner.

For Removal

Simply peel the crystals off. If the crystals are too stuck to remove them without pain, applying a small amount of baby oil will make the process a little easier. This will dissolve the glue.

Some women love the idea of highlighting their lady parts with "bling" while others scoff at the idea. If you're not brave enough to try it on your prize, these can safely be applied to other parts of the body as well.
