Valentina- (A Poem About My Kitty)
Valentina is Just 12 Weeks Old- Born on Valentine's Day Hence Her Name- a Poem
The sun comes up and that's her queue.
She licks my nose with much ado,
"Don't you know the sun is up?
It's time to play with Buttercup!"
'Valentina Buttercup Trouble Alkire'
Her full name-
Born on St. Valentine's Day,
She's a little blessing.
She's a little curse. Shearing-
My new sheers with her brand new claws.
Playing in her water dish,
Leaving prints with her paws on my new rug.
Now asleep on my lap as I write this,
Though if she were awake;
Heaven's sake she prefers to help,
Me type or hide in a cubby of my desk
Attacking me from behind
As I type.
I enjoy these moments.
Soon she'll be too big to fit in the cubby.
Soon she'll choose,
To snooze in the window,
Instead of playing with her toys;
Stalking for something she can destroy.
Oh- she's just a kitten,
But this heart is smitten!
