Kids love Valentine's Day! If you're looking for a fun craft that they can make, Valentine bracelets may be your answer. Making these bracelets is easy and your kids will enjoy the fact that they can wear them when they're done. Read on to learn how to make a Valentine bracelet.

Supplies:

Craft foam sheets in several different colors, but make sure one of them is red.
Ruler
Pencil
Scissors
Glue
Hole Punch
Self-stick Velcro tabs

Using the red foam, cut a piece 1 inch wide x 7 inches long. This will be the band. Wrap the band around your wrist to make sure it's the right length. The ends need to overlap by about an inch. Cut off any extra length.

Place your ruler lengthwise on the piece of red foam. Use the pencil and make a line down the center of the foam from one end to the other. Using the line as a guide, punch holes from one end of the foam to the other end. Try to make the holes the same distance apart, about 1/2 an inch.

Place the side of the foam down that has the pencil line on it. This will be the underside. Select another color foam and cut a strip 1/4 inch wide and an inch longer than the band. Starting at one end of the band, weave the foam strip down the length of the band through the holes that were punched. It's best to start weaving from underneath as this will make the finished product look better. Glue the ends of the strip to the band. Cut off any excess strip that hangs out past the end of the band. Finish the band by placing the self-stick Velcro tabs on the ends of the band.

Now you have a beautiful red Valentine bracelet!

Optional: You can use large pony beads (heart shape if available) to weave onto the strip as you weave the strip down the band. You can place just 1 pony bead in the center of the bracelet or place them sporadically throughout the bracelet.
