Every year in the month of February, everyone echanges flowers, candy, gifts, and hearts in the name of St. Valentine. There is a good story behind how Valentine's Day got started and where it came from. Valentine's day notebook can be a treasure to remember and are recommended for ages four and up to make. So, have fun while you and your children discover how wondrous a Valentine's Day craft can be.
What you will need is a pink foam journal, heart shaped foam stamps, acrylic paint in white, pink, red, purple, and yellow, and also a paint brush
What you will need to do is:
1. Paint foam side of stamp with desired color.
2. Press down gently but firmly onto foam notebook cover.
3. Decorate with different stamps and colors.
4. Use paint brush to touch up any empty spots.
5. Use point on paint brush handle to make dots. Dip handle into paint and dot onto foam cover.
6. Let this dry completely.
Making the notebook can be an easy thing to do. These notebooks can make perfect gifts for yourself or for someone else. They can also be made in blue, green or any other color that you wish.
Another craft that is made easily ready for kids to make is a homemade valentine.
What you will need to make this is and 8.5 * 11 construction paper or card stock in various colors and pattern, valentine heart stickers, scissors, pinking shears, glue stick or white craft or school glue, and glitter.
Begin by cutting a piece of construction paper or card stock into four equal pieces.

For the easiest version, appropriate for preschoolers, use stickers to decorate or cut out hearts from a different color of construction paper or card stock to glue onto your cards. Experiment with different patterns, florals look great contrasted with stripes on a solid background.
Small children love the glitter so use a bottle of glue to draw on a heart or phrase of choice. Sprinkle the glue generously with pink, red or white glitter and let dry over night. Tap off excess glitter when completely dry.
For the older set, let them us pinking sheres to cut out heart shapes and glue onto cards. Again, use contrasting patterns and colors to create a charming design.
Once the glue has dried, cards may curl up a little. Place card between the pages of a heavy cookbook or phone book and leave over night.

You can also change this craft to any holiday theme that you would like to make the occasion more enjoyable. The good news is that it doesn't hardly cost a thing. You and your children will be able to do this Valentine craft for year's to come and enjoy doing it each time.
Making Valentine gifts or cards can be as easily as anything to make, all you need is a little time and a little heart to get the job done. So, take the time to set down and have a heart warmed Valentine with your child.
