1) Dave Tyree Framed Photo
Now known as "The Catch," photos of this Dave Tyree catching the ball after Manning performed "The Great Escape" are everywhere. Many places on the web offer framed and unframed pictures of the legendary play. To find the photo, simply perform a google search of "Dave Tyree Catch."
2) Disneyland Tickets
The question "You just won the Super Bowl! What are you going to do now?" was coined during the Giants first Super Bowl win and Eli Manning continued the tradition of answering the famous post-Super-Bowl-win-plug on Sunday. He wasn't lying when he answered, "I'm going to Disneyland!" Eli was scheduled to participate in a parade at the happiness place on earth on the Monday following the Super Bowl, but flight delays at the airport forced him to cancel the appearance. However, the event is to be rescheduled for a later date. What better present to give a New York Giants fan than a chance to see Eli in the real? Tickets to the park are available through Disneyland's website and can be used on any date (although blackout dates may apply).
3) Sports Illustrated Subscription
Although they don't offer the football phone anymore, Sports Illustrated does offer three Super Bowl free gifts for a year's subscription - which is less than $90 (and 64% off the cover price!) Let's be serious here - no one will respect any Giants fan who doesn't have the commemorative football, book, and Super Bowl XLII DVD on display for all to see.
4) Super Bowl Championship Gear
Giants.com is the headquarters for all the super bowl gear you could want or ever need. Chose from a vast array of hats, shirts, and other memorabilia.
5) Funny Shirts
Looking for something a bit more creative? Try creating a shirt that will allow your significant other to rub the Giants victory in Patriot fans' faces. I like this shirt, which reads "Hey Bill Beli-second place! Cheaters never win!" I mean, c'mon, that's hilarious. Other options include "Tyree's the Man!" and "bELIeve 08."
6) The New York Football Giants Dinosaur
This toy is absolutely ridiculous - but it was the official good luck charm at my brother's house for Super Bowl XLII. Said dinosaur was kicked to the other side of the room (appearing to shatter into a million pieces) when New England scored the touchdown bringing the score to 14-10. However, when my brother picked up the toy, snapped the leg back on, and put the batteries back in it, it roared back to life with a stupid song it sings (it really is annoying, but hear me out, ok?). We like to think its an actual representation of the actual 2007-2008 Giants. Tough, resilient, and never giving up. He knew at that point the Giants would pull out a win - and they did in the most amazing way possible. By having a Giants Dinosaur in every Giants household, a true fan can always think of that story and be reminded of the tenacity the New York Giants displayed on February 3rd, 2008.
In any event, this win should not be taken lightly. This is the third Super Bowl win for the G-men and any fan out there is going to cherish this game for a lifetime. Any gift that allows a Giants fan to reminiscence of the greatest moment in Giants history will be greatly appreciated - and you'll definitely score an extra point.
