This valentine suggestion can be done by all ages and abilities - from preschoolers to the elderly. What a great and personal way for your valentine to know you love him or her.
How to pull it off:
1. Simply buy or make the number of valentines you wish to give. If you want one valentine for each morning for one week - buy seven.
These can be plain cut-out hearts or something you've decided to really splurge on. White paper could even be colored or painted red, hearts could be sewn, created as an art project, woven, decorated with pictures or even jewels.
2. Write a message on each heart. Either fold heart in half or cover so message must be opened.
Examples of messages could be: I love you, have fun today, this is your lucky day, you are number one, you are special, you are sweet, you are the best, be happy today, smile a lot today, I'm glad you're mine. The last heart could even say that you've left a present for them on the kitchen table - [or wherever].
3. Decide where you will place the hearts so they'll make your valentine's day really special.
A fun and different thing to do is to tape the hearts to the bathroom mirror that your valentine uses each morning. It will make their day to wake up and remember that they get to open a new heart - especially from you. You could tape the hearts around the outside or you could tape them in the shape of a valentine. Best of all, it's your project, you can do what you choose.
4. It's great if extra tape is attached - so your valentine receiver can just bend it and secure the heart back so they can see the whole picture each morning of the time period.
This very simple and fun "project" could also be done for other seasons or holidays. You could use it with Easter eggs, mother or father's day, vacation, Thanksgiving, Christmas - or just any day or anytime you want to do something fun and different or you feel your special person needs a little lift.
Take a little time to make someone's day special. It will make you feel special too!
