Valentine Wishes

A Valentines Day Poem

Katie Sharp-Dierks
What do I wish for this Valentines Day?
Do I desire a dozen red roses,
A box of fine chocolates,
Or a sparkling diamond ring?

I don't need these things,
The roses will wilt away,
The chocolates will melt,
And the diamond will dull
Compared to my love for you.

For Valentines,
I only wish to hold your hand,
To remember the way we met,
The first time we kissed
Under the stars as they shined down on us.

I'd love a hug,
Where you hold me like you never want to let go,
And I can listen to your heartbeat
Saying "Love you, love you, love you."

Shall we walk along the waterfront,
Where we can laugh about our past,
As well as dream about our future,
Holding hands?

This is very romantic. I will try something like this. I thought I like the second stanza the most, then it was the third and so on.
