Valentine's Day on a Budget

Valentine's Day Activites for Under $30

Valentine's Day is the sort of holiday that people either absolutely love, or hate entirely. If you love it, then you probably consider it a time to show that you truly care for your lover by showering them with flowers and chocolates. If you hate it, then you probably consider it a money-wasting sham! This Valentine's day, celebrate with your partner or significant other without breaking the bank.

Romantic Dinner

Estimated Cost: $20-30

Preparation Time: 1-3 hours

Sure, most people enjoy going out to a fancy restaurant on special occasions (especially Valentine's Day), but why not stay home this year to eat? Seduce your partner over an intimate setting decorated with candles and soft tunes. Cook their favorite meal with the assistance of a cook book, and take turns feeding each other. It may seem corny, but it truly is romantic.

Bubble Bath for Two

Estimated Cost: $15

Preparation Time: Under 30 minutes

Before your partner gets home, run a warm bath and decorate the room with candles, rose pedals, and have soft tunes playing in the background. Share the tub together and you'll definitely turn a relaxing experience into an überromantic one.

Late Night Stoll

Estimated Cost: $0

Preparation Time: None

Perhaps your city has a beautiful waterfront or beach? Take advantage of what your area has to offer and take your loved one out for a romantic late night stroll.

Whip Cream

Estimated Cost: $15

Preparation Time: Under 30 minutes

Use each other's bodies as your own personal dessert canvas. Whip cream, chocolate sauce, and strawberries, can all be a sexy experience if eaten off your lover's body.

Personal Massage

Estimated Cost: $0-30

Preparation Time: Under 30 minutes

Treat your loved one to a massage given by you. Spend at least 20 minutes devoting your time to relaxing them. Try using edible massage oil on your partner, such as Kama Sutra's Oil of Love.

Treasure Hunt

Estimated Cost: $5-10

Preparation Time: 1-3 hours

Leave little clues all around your home for your Valentine to discover. Write cute notes on the back of photographs you took as a couple, or write clues on the back of children's Valentines cards. Each clue leads your valentine to the next clue and then eventually to you! This adorable suggestion will bring back good memories you've had together.
