How about enjoying your Valentine's Day dinner at Waffle House? Did you know that for the past two years, selected Waffle House restaurants have offered romantic candlelight dinners for two on Valentine's Day? And that they plan on continuing the tradition of Valentine's Day dinner at Waffle House again this year?
On Valentine's Day, participating Waffle House restaurants, primarily known for their affordable breakfast offerings, will be transformed for the evening, beginning at 6:00 pm until 12:00 midnight.
Cooks, waitresses and managers will be dressed in their finest attire, with male employees wearing suits with red ties and female staff members in red and white outfits. Managers will act as hosts or hostesses, greeting diners as they enter the restaurant and escorting them to their tables.
Each booth will be outfitted with a white tablecloth and red napkins and will be lit by candlelight. Juke box songs will be replaced by soft romantic music. In addition to the Waffle House usual menu selections, heart shaped waffles, omelets and patty melts will also be offered at some locations. A photographer will be on hand to commemorate the occasion for each couple.
For the past two years, patrons of Valentine's Day dinner at Waffle House have arrived at local participating restaurants dressed to the hilt, just as if they were dining at a five star establishment. Reportedly some couples have even driven two or more hours to partake of their Valentine's Day dinner at Waffle House.
Valentine's Day dinner at Waffle House has become increasingly popular in some locations especially in Atlanta, Georgia and the surrounding metro area. Last year Atlanta TV news reporters and their camera crews were present at several locations, describing the Valentine's Day dinner at Waffle House for their viewers.
There are over 1500 Waffle House restaurants located in 25 states. Check with your local Waffle House restaurant to find out if they will be participating in this year's Valentine's Day dinner event, or visit the Waffle House official website for more information.
