Valentine's Day Door Décor
Wreaths
Wreaths are a popular choice for Thanksgiving and Christmas door décor. With some creativity, you can convert a plain wreath into a cheerful and romantic Valentine's Day door decoration. One idea for converting a basic green wreath is to glue red or pink paper roses and pink ribbons onto it. Find an excellent tutorial HERE on how to make a stunning rose using red or pink cardstock. Another decorating idea for your roses is to make a large, solid heart. To do this, cut out a heart shape from a piece of cardboard and then glue your roses onto the cardboard.
Another wreath idea is to create a wreath using a satin cloth hanger. Bend your hanger to create a circle and then attach red and pink hearts cut from paint samples, cardstock or felt.
Or make a handful of Valentine's Day wreathes to be placed along your front door, mailbox, and porch column or fence gate.
Wrapping Paper
One easy way to create a festive Valentine's Day door is by using Valentine's Day wrapping paper. Simply tape it along the length of your door. Spruce it up by taping hearts, flowers or vintage pictures onto it. Find 3 or 4 black and white, vintage pictures or cut outs of couples kissing, holding hands or hugging. Then frame each picture in a cheap wooden frame purchased from your local craft store. Glue vintage fabric swaths, vintage wallpaper, ribbons or lace along the frame. If you can't find Valentine themed wrapping paper, another idea is to use wallpaper with reds or pinks in it or solid gold or silver wrapping paper.
Lingerie
Another idea is to use vintage lingerie to create a Valentine's Day door decoration. Visit your local thrift store to find inexpensive lingerie, such as a teddy. Using cardboard, cut out a woman's torso, in dimensions that can accommodate your lingerie. Wallpaper your cardboard and then attach your lingerie. Hang your "mannequin" on your door.
For a few bucks, you can transform your door and wow your mailman this Valentine's Day.

You do think ahead. Nice!
LOL Nancy.
I doubt my vintage lingerie would look any better hanging on a door than it did on me, but I bet other people would do just fine with theirs!
