Valentine's Day Drinks for Teen Parties

Are you having a Valentine's Day party for your teen? Don't forget to include some sophisticated and delicious red and pink drinks. Here are a few simple ideas that will be sure to please.

Strawberry Daiquiri
3 ounces frozen strawberries in syrup
1 ounce fresh lime juice
1 teaspoon sugar
Fresh strawberries, oranges and ice

Fill a mixing glass with cracked ice. Add frozen strawberries, lime and sugar. Shake and strain into a Valentine's themed glass or a red/pink glass. Add a fresh strawberry and/or orange slice to the rim of the glass.

Valentine Punch
½ large bottle of Hawaiian Punch or other Fruit Punch
½ large bottle of ginger ale
1 qt of sherbet (any flavor)
Any sliced red fruits, such as strawberries, raspberries, cherries.

Mix all the ingredients in a punch bowl. Try adding heart shaped ice cubes. (Make cubes in heart shaped muffin pan.) Make it more festive by serving in Valentine themed glasses or pink/red glasses. Try looking in local dollar stores for themed glasses.

Shirley Temple
3 ounces Sprite or 7up
3 ounce ginger ale
Dash of grenadine
Maraschino cherry
Ice

Pour soda and ginger ale into a glass filled with ice cubes. Add the grenadine and stir. Garnish with a cherry. Add a heart shaped stirrer or straw and you are ready to party.

Valentine Soda
Sprite
Strawberry ice cream
Whipped cream
Red or pink sugar or sprinkles
Maraschino cherry

Place one or two scoops of ice cream in a tall glass. Pour sprite over the ice cream. Top with whipped cream. Sprinkle sugar or sprinkles over the whipped cream. Add a maraschino cherry on top if desired. Now it's ready to serve.

Strawberry Lemonade
1 can of frozen pink lemonade
1 container of sweetened frozen strawberries (let sit out a bit to defrost)
Ice and water
Fresh strawberries to garnish

Follow directions on frozen lemonade can and mix with water in a large pitcher. Add the slightly defrosted strawberries and ice and mix. (You can use unsweetened strawberries if you prefer.) Pour into a tall glass and add a straw. Add a fresh strawberry to the straw or the side of the glass and enjoy.
