Valentine's Day eCard Review: Blue Mountain or DaySpring?

Feel the need to express your feelings of infatuation with the one you hold so dear, but just can't find the right words? Fear not, there are a slew of greeting card companies out there, each one sure to have at least one card that says what you want to say. But which greeting card service can cater your needs? To me, there are two standout card companies online, BlueMountain and Dayspring, each one having it's own unique ways to help you say, "I Love You." When I took a look at both companies I noticed a few similarities and a few differences which may help you decide which one will help you woo like a pro.

Cost was the first difference I noticed between the two online companies. At Blue Mountain.com you have to sign up and pay a monthly service fee. However, there are two different price points and membership types that one can sign up for. The first is the Create & Print membership. Members can create, crop, add, rotate and personalize each card that they make, print it off, and give it to your sweetie. With the eCard Membership you can send online cards only, but you are also able to customize them as you see fit with photos and personal words of affection. Right now Blue Mountain is also offering one month of free service when you sign up for this membership.

Dayspring.com, an eCard site with a Christian slant, offers free eCards along with an optional store where you can purchase flowers, candy, and plus toys. As with Blue Mountain, customers can customize cards and even order boxed sets of greeting cards for other holidays and occasions. The Dayspring web site is considerably slower than the Blue Mountain web site when it comes to navigation to their eCard section, but other than that, each service offers very reasonable, comparable services.

Which one is right for you? That completely depends on how much you would like to spend, and how often you plan on sending out eCards. If you are a frequent eCard sender, then paying for the membership at Blue Mountain might be more practical, however, for the occasional holiday, such as today, DaySpring's free eCard service and full service gift shop may be right up your alley.

    Hey everyone,

I saw the article about all the fab ecards, and since I am a new fan of electronic greetings I wanted to say why I have started using them. I think with global warming creeping up on us, I think it is very important that we become more aware of trying to lower our carbon emissions, and try and do right by the planet. I think we can all do our little bit extra to try and help! At home I always shut the computer down rather than putting it to sleep, and always turn off electrics rather than leave them on stand by. These tips may seem small, but if everyone pulled together then I think we could really make a difference to the world. Another hint I have is that I now use e-Cards rather than buying paper cards. Not only are you saving money if you choose a free site, but more importantly, you are helping the environment by saving paper, and therefore less trees need to be chopped down! I have done my research and finally found the best free Environmentally Friendly e-Card s

Is Blue Mountain a hoax??? I continually receive reminders to send cards and in the past
18 months have not been able to get into the site . . . however, they keep collecting the membership
dues. It used to be a fun experience. Now it's nothing but time wasted and frustration.
