Red- The most common choice to give, Red is the symbol of Love, the most romantic choice for that special someone.
Pink- This color is often associated with gratefulness and appreciation, a good choice for a close friend or family member.
Purple- Flowers or roses of this color signify that the person who is giving the flowers has fallen in love at first sight with the person receiving them. I'm sure any woman would love to get these flowers!
Coral or Orange- These vibrant colors show desire for the person receiving them, and giving flowers that are not the usual colors is always a great choice.
Light Pink- A rose to show admiration and/or sympathy would be best shown by giving light pink roses. This delicate color can be given to just about anyone.
Yellow- A neutral flower color, Yellow is a sign for friendship and happiness. This would be a great choice for friends or co-workers, as well as family.
Peach- Like the Pink colored flowers, Peach symbolizes both sympathy and gratitude, so it can be given to anyone, without having to give Pink flowers.
White- A pure color like White symbolizes respect and humbleness, a beautiful color for anyone to receive.
Colors can also act as a way to relax, energize or sooth away stress. Vibrant colors such as red, orange or yellow act to energize the body and stimulate the mind. Colors like blue, green, violet or pink calm the body, and soothe the brain in addition to providing a relaxing, peaceful environment.
Giving flowers does not always mean having to give roses. Every flower has been given a meaning, so it's best to ask the florist what each flower means. Most women just love to receive flowers, so it's really the thought that counts and the time you took to go select the flowers you thought they would like. Any choice of flower is a good one, so just pick out what looks best!
