Valentine's Day Gift Ideas Under $20 for Your Wife

Christie Silvers
Valentine's Day is right around the corner. All of the stores around town are already setting up their Valentine's Day gift displays. There is such an abundant supply of gift ideas out there, where's a guy to start? For your consideration, here are a few Valentine's Day gift ideas, under $20, for your wife.

Most of the women I know, myself included, absolutely love smelly things. Perfumes, candles, air fresheners, potpurri.....just about anything that has a lovely scent will do. That's why one of the newest air fresheners on the market has drawn my interest. Reed diffusers are a new way to scent your home or office and probably even you vehicle if you have a sturdy and tight holding cup holder. Reed diffusers are little glass bottles of oil fragrances that disperse scent your home through several ratten reeds sticking out of the top. These are suppose to last several months and provide constant fragrance throughout your home. These are safer than candles since there is no open flame required. All of the reed diffusers that I have looked at cost $20 or less, depending on size. These make wonderful Valentine's Day gifts for your wife.

If your wife prefers the lovely, romantic glow of a burning candle then candles are a great choice for Valentine's Day. You can find candles anywhere. During this time of year you can even find heart shaped candles or all sizes, scents and colors available. You can buy indiviual candles or buy sets or multiple sized candles. You could even buy a nice sized set and use all over your house for a great Valentine's Day surprise. Candles are definitely an easy and cheap Valentine's Day gift idea for your wife.

Lingere is another good idea for Valentine's Day gifts under $20. Of course you have to consider that the more elaborant the "outfit" the more expensive it will become. I was just at Walmart today and they have many, many cute lingere items for under $20. I even ended up with a cute little nightgown that is white, red and pink with hearts all over it for only $12. Just perfect for Valentine's Day. All you have to do is check your wife's clothing size when she isn't looking and go get something that you know she will like.

Another Valentine's Day gift idea for under $20 would be to get a nice romantic movie to watch together with your wife. Most men hate mushy, romantic, "chick flicks" but many women love those types of movies. So if your wife is into that type of movie it would be a good gift idea. You can cuddle up on the couch with a warm blanket and watch the mushy movie with your wife and then see where it leads afterwards.

Massage oils are another great Valentine's Day gift idea. There are so many different scents available in massage oils that it should not be too hard to find just the perfect fragrance for your wife this Valentine's Day. There are even edible massage oils for those of us who are a little more adventurous. Massage oils are the perfect follow up to that great Valentine's Day date. After you and your wife are home from dinner and a movie, all the kids are in bed and it's time to start relaxing then it's time for a nice back massage. That's the perfect time to give her the new massage oil and I don't mean as in "Here's some great massage oil to use on ME". I mean tell her to lay on her stomach and YOU massage her back with the new massage oil. Be generous and you may just get a nice, relaxing massage in return.

If you and your wife are a little more adventurous then a COUPLES ONLY board game may be just the right Valentine's Day gift for under $20. There are many audlt board games on the market. Some are a little more adventurous than others so definitely make sure that you read the details on the game box. You don't want to get something that your wife will absolutely refuse to play. You could also just go with a simple set of lover's dice instead of a whole board game. These can be just as entertaining as the board games.

If you can decide upon one of these great gift ideas, and you are willing to spend more than $20, you could create a great gift bag for your wife's Valentine's Day gift. Just pick a few, or even all, of the gift ideas above and put them into a nice Valentine's Day gift bag. These could make for one fun and exciting Valentine's Day night with your wife.

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Hey, what most of us husbands want to get and end up are two very different things. However also remember most of us guys get really happy when we get a new tool, hat with favorite team on it, and sometimes we pick gifts that same way we thing as guy's and that new dish towel or salad shooter or some other gift that is not really personal but more of a practical gift is what we have heard for months and we think that is what you want. Now that being said we also run it to the money issue and again what we want and what we can afford two different gifts.
