Children's Valentine's Day Gift Idea #1
Homemade cards are always a hit with children. Cards can feature crayon drawings, glitter, buttons, or whatever creative adornment the child thinks up. A child will also enjoy writing a poem for a loved one and including it in the card.
Children's Valentine's Day Gift Idea #2
Artwork is another fun gift children can make. Pull out the construction paper and let the child have at it. Unsupervised artwork is always best because it shows the child's true creative genius at work. A way to spice this gift up even more is by framing it. A traditional frame purchased from the store will work, or parents can help their children make the frame.
A Popsicle stick frame is very easy to make, and will add a whimsical touch to the gift. All that's needed is the sticks and some glue. Place the sticks into a square around the artwork and glue the whole project together. Then attach a string to the top stick with another dab of glue. It's very simple!
Children's Valentine's Day Gift Idea #3
Photography is something all children enjoy. Playing with the camera and capturing images of the world is very exciting. Passing those images on to others makes it even more fun. Children will love taking a picture of something they think is pretty and framing it for a loved one.
Another way for children to make a photography gift is by putting together their very own photo book. Cut out squares of construction paper a little bigger than the photo's. Get as many pages as needed together, and then glue or staple the photographs in. Once all the photos are attached to the construction paper, staple the photo book together. The child can ten write or draw something special for the cover and they will have their very own photo book to present as a gift.
These are a few examples of Valentine's Day gifts children can make for loved ones. Children love using their imagination, and creativity should always be encouraged. Parents and children will enjoy making these unique homemade Valentine's Day gifts and the recipients will love that the gift was made specifically for them.
