First, you need a creative way to ask that special someone to be your Valentine in order to start the day off right! Build A Bear has these nifty little voice recorders that you can put in your bear; just record yourself saying "Will you be my Valentine?" Any girl's heart is guaranteed to melt. Another fun way to ask is to use a fortune cookie! There are places that will let you order customized fortune cookies, very cheap for that matter. This is good for girls and guys, everyone loves fortune cookies and it will be a cute and funny way to get your Valentine's date. One final way to ask your Valentine out is just to play a simple game of four questions! Say, "1. What's your favorite color? 2. What's your favorite animal? 3. Will you be my Valentine?" It's simple but effective.
The next order of business for Valentine's Day is the Valentine card. This is the single most important aspect of Valentine's Day. My only word of advice for your Valentine card is that it is not important what kind of card it is, how funny the card is, or how cute the card is. The only thing that is important is your own personalized note. Your Valentine will melt if you write her a heartfelt message in her card.
The next thing you need to focus on for Valentine's day is the gift. This isn't as important as the first two simply because it is a materialistic form of affection which isn't the purpose of Valentine's day. For those of you that can afford it, Jewelry is always the perfect gift on Valentine's day. For those of you that are younger or just can't afford jewelry, you have to get more creative with your gifts! Like I said above Build-A-Bear is always a wonderful idea for women. Other great gifts are things like tickets to a concert that you both want to attend, something hand made, or just a simple picture frame with a picture of the two of you. Your Valentine will be happy with any gift you get him or her as long as you put a little though behind it!
Finally, the most important part of Valentine's day is the when you actually spend time with your Valentine. A traditional Valentine date would be dinner and a movie, which is never a bad idea! However, your night will be much more fun if you take a little time and get creative with what you do. For all of you guys out there, women love it when their men cook for them, so get your chef's hat on and start looking up recipes!
It's hard to go wrong with anything you do on Valentine's Day as long as you put a little thought into it! Go find your Valentine and show him or her a great time!
