Valentines Day Ideas for Adults

I Love You Jar:

Take little pieces of paper and write notes of all the things you love about your better half. Put them into a jar. On the out side of the jar put a label stating "This is an I Love You Jar"; Take one out daily as needed.

Breakfast in Bed:

Serve your loved one breakfast in bed. Whether it is a traditional breakfast or cinnamon and sugar (the red sprinkles) toast. It will be much appreciated. A red rose in a vase would be a nice touch.

Phone Call invitation:

Call your sweetie on the phone and tell him or her how much they are loved. Have reservations made for somewhere special, but don't tell them until you make the phone call. If you want to tell them what might happen later..... That's up to you.

Candy Heart:

Take a thin piece of cardboard or poster board and cut out a heart about 10" by 10". Cut out the middle of the heart, so it is about 3"- 4" wide. Take a wrapped candy such as tootsie rolls, peppermint candies or even some bite size candy bars. Starting on the inside of the heart, staple the edges of the candy wrapper onto the heart. Repeat around the heart, and then do the same for a few more layers.

Gift Vouchers:

You can make some gift vouchers for odd jobs to do for your loved one, such as wash the car, vacuum the house or run an errand. You can make vouchers for a back rub, massage or bubble bath together. Use your imagination; I'm sure you'll come up with something.

I Love You Scrapbook:

Put pictures of you and your loved one together in a scrapbook. It could be your first year together or your first 25 years together. You can add something like a movie ticket from your first date or a pressed flower from a special occasion.

Say it with Words:

Most newspapers now for Valentines Day, have pages for messages where you can tell someone how special they are or how much you love them. So send a message, your sweetie is sure to love it.

Or just write a note or a poem and attach it to the bathroom mirror Valentines morning.

A Gift:

Of course a gift of flowers, a box of chocolates, a stuffed animal, gift certificate, a romantic book, a bottle of wine or a beautiful card are always appreciated too. The important thing is to let your loved one know they're loved.

Ooh, wow, it's getting towards that day, isn't it? Thanks for the reminders. Funny, you said 25 years together & that was our anniversary a couple months ago...#25. I think I might try that out...it would be a nice scrapbook! Kim
