Valentine's Day Love Poem

Nikki
Valentine's Day poems are written for many different reasons. They can be joyfully written to convey such emotions as true love, irresistible desire, physical attraction, respect, or devotion. But not all poems for Valentines' Day convey sweet flowery words of adoration. A lover scorned is no less passionate when writing about the heartbreaking betrayed face of love.

No matter what the purpose is behind the prose, love is typically celebrated or remembered in some fashion on February 14th. Here is my contribution - the eternal bond created between a husband and wife on their honeymoon.

Honeymoon Awakening

V - Voices whisper shy sweet love
A - All senses tingle, moist, alert
L - Lingering kisses smolder hot
E - Eager strokes of love embrace
N - Now pulsing to surrender
T - Touching places deep inside
I - Ignites pure enticed desire
N - No longer mere husband and wife
E - Ever after souls united

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!
