OK, so your planning a party for Valentines day. But you have no idea what to do or how to entertain your guests! (don't panic) Here is a list of games for a Valintines day party that will have everybody smiling!
Stacking Heart Challenge for kids:
Making a tower out of hearts isn't easy! Especially when all your friends are shouting and cheering at you. You'll need to buy plenty of conversation hearts! also known as Candy Hearts! The object of the game is to build the tallest tower in 30 seconds! When the time is up the kids count the hearts(they might need a little help here) to see who is the winner. This game is generally a big enough hit for kids to play about 20 times!
Valentine Cherades:
Before the party write some appropriate phrases, movie titles, song titles and famous love stories on slips of paper. Put the pieces of paper in an empty heart shaped box. Divide the players into teams and have them play facing each other. Each player shall draw a piece of paper from the box then act out the song, movie, phrase for their team, teams are awarded one point if they guess correctly and if they don't get it they lose one point! give a time limit of three minutes! Remember there is no talking allowed when acting out a phrase! and other then that watch as people go crazy guessing! its a guaranteed goodtime!
Heart Bean Bag Toss:
Before the party cut a large heart "target" out of paper or fabric whichever is easier to get. Use a marker to make a large X in the center. Make or purchase three bean bags! these are expensive so this game is really only an option if you have a bean bag! To play, place the heart on the floor and a strip of tape 6 feet away(for young kids) or further older kids! The players line up and take turn to stand with their toes on the tape to throw the bean bag as close to the x as possible whoever hits closest gets a kiss from the oldest member of the host family! If you don't have bean bags you could use cushions instead, but you need to be much further away!
Broken hearts for Teenagers:
Cut large hearts out of red cardboard or construction paper. Cut hearts in half, using a zig-zag other shapes, making each one unique. You should make sure there is enough hearts for everyone! As guests arrive hand them a half of a heart and tell them to find there match! This is a great ice breaker for teenagers!
Famous Couples:
Write the names of famous couples on sticky labels. When your guests arrive place one on there back. They need to discover who the couple is by asking yes or no questions to other people at the party. They may not ask the same person more then one question! This is a greatice breaker.... watch as your guests mingle manically to discover who they are. The first one to guess right wins a bottle of wine!
