Valentine's Day Party Look : Dress, Make-up, Jewelry and Accessories
Valentine's Day Party Look to Make You Drop-dead Gorgeous
Before I start sounding like a total goof-ball, let me start giving you some party look ideas. Simple things you can do to get that perfect party look this Valentine's.
1- Hot Pink party look- The hot pink party look is "in" this season. Try going in for a really deep pink feminine dress. It could have some glitter on it or bows (in a non-kiddy way). Finish off this party look with some nice chunky jewelry. If you have crystals or some encrusted bracelets, the men will fall flat!
2- Classic party look- Want your party look to be classic and truly elegant? Go with a nice flowing black or white gown. These are classics and will never die. If the gown you choose is simple and plain, you can always get that party look by choosing some awesome shoes and 'bling' jewelry to go with it. Don't be shy to experiment with your party look. Just do it!
3- Bedazzle and Bejeweled- To complement your party look, go for the right kind of jewelry. If your dress has a lot of 'bling', then go for chunky simpler pieces that don't sparkle too much. You don't want to blind your man! If your dress has clean cuts and is plain, add some shimmer with the right kind of jewelry. Similarly, select the right kind of bag.
4- Makeup- Day time party look:
- Face: Use something that gives you that instant glow (Maybelline's Whitestay Fairness Compact does good). Apply a bit of mousse bronzer on your cheekbones for that healthy, yet soft glimmer.
- Lips: Any nice lipstick with a high-shine gloss will do wonders.
- Eyes: During the day you don't want that nocturnal party look. So keep your eye makeup simple. Stick to a good eye-shadow, liner and mascara.
Night time party look:
- Face: You need to have a pale yet healthy look, like your skin is untouched by the sun. Nocturnal party look, remember? Dream Matte Mousse Foundation by Maybelline does the trick here too (and No I don't work for them.)
- Lips: To get that seductive pout, go for a deep berry or rich-creamy red color. Use a lip liner that is a shade darker than your lipstick. Then gloss it up!
- Eyes: For the nocturnal party look to be complete, you need to get the eyes right. Use the eye-shadow, liner and mascara. Then use a Black eye-pencil to lace the eyelids and smudge outwards towards the temple. We are trying to create a "wing" like Gothic look. You can go a shade lighter or darker depending on how bold you want it to be.
5- Shoes- To complete your party look, choose some stunning footwear. Contrast is "in", so try it if you are bold enough. Else, black is always "in".
Get that party look going for you and have a blast on V-day. Take the time to feel pretty. You deserve it! :)
