Valentine's Day Poem: The Scars, the Hate, the Sorrow, the Wind

Brandon Elliott
Two young lovers, one beating heart,
dreading the day their souls depart.
This hateful world, they do distaste,
the awful situations each of them faced.
With a single kiss, their feelings will mend,
the scars, the hate, the sorrow, the wind.

Their love is impenetrable, uncontrollable, instinctual,
Their compromised feeling of euphoria is mutual.
They hold hands to feel a sense of belonging,
their infinite tale of lust prolonging.
Memories will fade, the terror will end,
the scars, the hate, the sorrow, the wind.

Poignant and I like the part about the scars, sorrow and wind - evokes a sense of how time causes everything to pass and memory to fade (my take, anyway). Glad to have see this!
