Valentine's Day Recipes: How to Make Your Favorite Foods Red or Pink

Lisa Jones
Valentine's Day is a day that people associate with the colors pink and red. To get your day booming with love start out with breakfast. Instead of your normal scrambled eggs and toast why not serve it with love?
Mix a drop of red food coloring into your eggs while cooking them and scramble up some pink, love filled, eggs. To add to that, turn the butter you use on the toast pink. Just a drop of food coloring into the butter and spread that pink love onto your toast.
You can use this same method for oatmeal if you prefer instead of the eggs. Just a drop of red food coloring into the oats will make it a lovely light shade of pink. You can make the sugar pink also with just a drop of food coloring.
To make the morning special serve a strawberry smoothie. A great recipe that I use often for the Strawberry Smoothie goes like this:
Blender (of course)
6 ice cubes
1 cup strawberries (frozen works the best)
1 cup milk
1/4 cup sugar (I like mine sweet)
Blend until ice is all chopped.
Serve in clear glasses so the love shows through!!
