But if you are alone on Valentine's Day, it may not be a fun day for you. But don't despair. Although it is a day meant for couples celebrating their love for each other, here is a fun idea for you and your single friends to do on Valentine's Day.
Have five single female friends meet you on Valentine's Day at one end of a busy shopping mall in your local area. Bring five long stemmed roses in five different colors, red, white, pink, yellow, and lavender. Let each friend select one of the roses.
Have five single male friends, who do not know the female friends, meet at the opposite end of the same shopping mall. Ask a helper to meet them, and distribute five long stemmed roses in the same colors as above to the five men.
At a pre-arranged time, all ten people, the five women and the five men, should begin walking through the mall. The object is for the individuals with the same colored roses to find each other, and be their valentine for the day.
You and your helper are the masters of ceremonies of this event. However, if you and/or your helper would like to participate as well, just add counterparts of the opposite sex and more roses.
Depending of how large of a shopping mall you go to, and how crowded it is, it may take some time for everyone to find each other, or it may be accomplished quickly. In any case, tell everyone to meet afterwards in the restaurant area of the mall, where everyone can introduce themselves. Perhaps everyone will decide to have dinner together, or you can plan on hosting a party at your home.
This event can be a lot of fun. Perhaps for one or more of the couples it will be the beginning of a long-lasting relationship. But if not, at least everyone will have their valentine, if only for a day.
