If you really want to surprise the man in your life, plan a movie night for just the two of you. Most of the time my boyfriend ends up watching whatever I want to watch. We are both on very tight budgets, so we don't rent movies that often. So, if I want to surprise him, I go rent a movie that he has been dying to see. We watch the movie together while we cuddle. I also get his favorite snack food and beverage to enjoy while we watch the movie. My boyfriend loves this, because normally when we watch a movie, I don't give him my undivided attention.

For example: A backrub, a make out session, cooking his favorite meal, cuddling with him, spending the day with him, etc. My boyfriend really loved the coupon book that I gave him, because he can redeem these coupons any time that he wants.

Spending the whole Saturday before Valentine's Day with just the two of you is a great surprise too. Usually when my boyfriend and I go out it is with a group of people. He loves it when just the two of us go to a movie or out to dinner. However, he loves it just as much when we spend the whole day watching romantic movies together. The point of this Valentine's Day surprise is to devote your whole day to the man in your life in order to let him know how special he is to you.

I have saved the best surprise for last. The best Valentine's Day surprise that you can give the man in your life is to cook him his favorite meal and dessert completely from scratch. Not only is this romantic, but it will also keep him from paying for your date on a holiday that is supposed to be a celebration for both you and him. Be sure to set the table with a red table cloth and scented candles. Dress in an outfit of yours that is his favorite and wear a perfume of yours that is his favorite as well. Play his favorite music in the background. Most important tip for this romantic idea is to treat him like he is the most important thing in the world to you. My schedule and stress level just don't allow for me to give my boyfriend my undivided attention most of the time, so I find that giving him my full attention and making him feel special is one of the best presents that I can give him. Plus you know that the way to a man's heart is through his stomache. I can't emphasize enough that men love to feel like they are appreciated and to feel like the most important thing in the world to you.
