Valentine's Day Themed Construction Paper Crafts for Adults

There are lots of fun Valentine's Day themed crafts that adults can create using construction paper. Construction paper is a great medium for crafting because it is easy and budget friendly. This article will provide you with detailed instructions on creating Valentine's Day themed construction paper crafts for adults.

Love Collage

A love collage is a great craft because it can be used to decorate the home year round. For this craft you will need red, pink, and purple construction paper. You will also need scissors, graphite paper, pencils, glue, and cardboard.

Start by covering the cardboard with a piece of red construction paper. Glue it to secure it in place. When the glue has dried cut it into a rectangle shape the same size as the construction paper.

Then layer a piece of red, pink, and purple construction paper with two sheets of graphite paper. Use the pencil to draw the word love on the center of the top piece of paper. You can use a pretty script or block letters, but make sure to make your letters large. Then draw some heart shapes around the words.

Next you will need to fold all of the pieces of paper in half lengthwise. Then cut along the fold. Finally cut the pieces of paper apart along the lines. When you have all of the pieces cut out, mix and match them to reassemble your picture. Glue them in place securely. Add a piece of ribbon to the back of the cardboard if you like, and you can hang your Valentine's Day craft.

Puzzle Heart

Another construction paper craft that adults will enjoy is a puzzle heart door hanging. For this craft you will need red and white construction paper, scissors, glue, cardboard, a pencil, ruler, a pen knife, markers, and ribbon.

Start by gluing the white construction paper to the cardboard. Then cut the paper and cardboard into a heart shape. Lay it on top of the red paper and trace it with a pencil. Then cut the shape out of the red construction paper.

Use the ruler to divide the red heart into several one inch squares. Then use the pencil to add different shapes to some of the sides of the squares. This will make the squares resemble puzzle pieces. Finally trace the pencil lines with markers.

Use the pen knife to cut a piece or two of the puzzle out. Glue it to the white heart. After the glue has dried, use the marker to write, "I love you to pieces" on the front of the heart. Add ribbon to the back so you can hang this Valentine's Day craft.

These crafts are a great way for adults to get ready for Valentine's Day while using left over construction paper.
