Get on the computer and print a Valentine's Day Love Coupon or make several coupons and compile them into a coupon book. Personalize each coupon with a certain promise like "Free Back-rub", "Free Foot Massage", whatever you make, your sweetie is sure to be thrilled. I made my husband a Love Coupon Book last year for Valentine's Day and he loved it. He used every coupon and wanted to use some of them twice!
Rent a romantic movie, pop some popcorn and cuddle on the sofa. Enjoy a nice romantic night at home, if you have children see if grandma and grandpa can watch them for awhile. Any time alone is better than none, it gives you time to reconnect with your partner and every relationship needs this.
If for some reason you get stuck in the office and are not going to be able to make it home, send virtual roses or hugs and kisses to your Valentine. Let your honey know that even though you can't be there with them, you are still thinking of them.
Bake a batch of cookies, if you absolutely don't have time, pick up a dozen from the store. Cooking takes time and your loved one will appreciate that you spent time getting something ready for them.
If you haven't gotten your girl anything, offer to paint her toes. I admit, sometimes it's a pain to paint my toe nails, but I always want them to look good! I absolutely love when my husband paints my nails. It makes me feel like a princess, and come on what girl doesn't want to feel that way?
If you have looked all around and just can't decide what to get your man, head to the liquor store. Get a bottle of wine to share or if he likes beer pick him up a twelve pack.
When it comes down to the wire on Valentine's Day, many will rush out and buy whatever they can find just to avoid a fight or avoid upsetting their loved one. Avoid this if all possible, you're liable to spend twice as much money on a gift as you normally would.
