You've done your research and shopped until your feet bled to find your significant other the engagement ring of her dreams for Valentine's Day. So maybe I'm exaggerating a bit but the task of finding an engagement ring was a bit more demanding than you expected. You've planned to propose at dinner on Valentine's day and expect the moment to be one to remember and equally romantic. The ring box is in your pocket but you'd like to have something else to put the ring in for later.

Although you may not plan to present an engagement ring in a jewelry box it does make a nice statement as a separate gift that's used when she's not wearing the ring. There are an assortment of jewelry boxes available to choose from.

Chests

There are hundreds of chest styles in a multitude of materials such as wood or sandstone. She may may not have a lot of jewelry so this is a nice piece to begin with. There are some that offer separations and dividers and others that do not have any sort of compartments. You'll have to decide how important the compartments are and whether your significant other will prefer one with a lock and key.

Armoire

An armoire has two purposes with one as a jewelry box while the other is as an accent piece for your home. If you're goal is to accent her room choose a jewelry armoire that compliments the theme of your room. If she prefers mixed themes find an armoire in a modern, Victorian, contemporary, art deco or other bold genre to play up her style.

Music

Whenever I see a music box I often think of little girls jewelry boxes with a musical ballerina that pops up when the lid is opened. Though those are still available musical jewelry boxes are created for grown up girls, also.
Long or tall boxes have the wind up mechanism underneath the box or inside one of the compartments. Trinket boxes are also available with music but you'll have to decide which one you like best.

Wall Mounts

The wall mount is similar to the armoire in the sense that it has lots of room for all of her jewelry including hanging items like necklaces and bracelets. A wall mounted jewelry box doesn't take up floor space and includes a decorative face with a mirror and accents a room nicely.
