Directions for Valentine's Treat- Homemade Chocolate Coated Strawberries
1
Rinse all of your fresh fruits you plan to cover in chocolate. Check each strawberry for soft spots. You will only want to use the best strawberries.2
Put your semi sweet chocolate chips in one ziploc bag, and put the white chocolate chips in another. Place the sealed bag into a container of hot water until completely melted.3
Open the bag of semi-sweet chips and dip each strawberry or other fruit piece in to cover it in chocolate. Set on a fancy tray for the chocolate to cool and harden.4
Snip the corner of the white chocolate bag off and slowly squeeze over the fruit pieces to decorate with swirls or stripes. After allowing this to dry, your fancy Valentine's Day chocolate covered strawberries are finished. Enjoy!5
You may want to set aside a couple of strawberries to place in a glass of champagne for toasting the occasion, as well.Tip
Using a ziploc bag for melting the chocolate chips in can save time, and make clean up easy! This quick treat will be sure to impress your sweetheart with all your hard work.
