Valley of the Evil Trees

Escaped from the Shadows

LarrWayne Po
Yea though I've walked through jungles,
that had evil trees.
I have escaped from its shadows,
and feel more at ease.
Should I look back and try it again?
I think not. There are safer shadows
not dark enough to hide
the games of the sly,
whose trick money is their pride.
There is little rest in the dense trees.
In their day of want, they may come after me.
I was not a pryer, just passing by,
a tourist somewhat, with no intent of surprise.
It is not my trade to tell where the enemy is.
Traps have been set, but not by me.
My vacation is over, I saw, what I've seen.
Peaceful shadows provide escape from the heat.
Unpeaceful murmurs are uttered by the sly.
I am just here or there or somewhere,
as I walk under the sky.
Peace is the tempo, I prefer,
like a cat content with a constant purr.

LarrWayne, AKA Quack Jack of many trades. If the educated do not educate others, the long term pay back will be "We are surrounded by the uneducated and they want to rule over us". Politically incorrect poem...  View profile
