Valley of Loneliness
While I tell a true story of love
Love can be fun, and oh, so wonderful
Until you have lost the one you love
When your love one finds another
And you're left standing all alone
Your heart will grieve, I know, dear young one
Because, I have loved so hard and lost
And when you have lost your loved one
You'll cry a tear for him each day
When your tears have all been shed
You will just sit around and sigh
Then, you will enter the valley of loneliness
Pain, inside, too hard, to cry
Your heart will grieve, I know dear young one
For, I have loved so hard and lost
There, I stood at the door of emptiness
Oh, the pain, unbearable, inside
I ran wild, just to keep my sanity
Wild life couldn't heal the pain inside
Then, I entered the valley of loneliness
Hurt and pain built up inside
My heart did grieve, it grieved, dear young one,
Because, I have loved so hard and lost.
You must exit this valley of loneliness
Don't hold on to pain inside
Do not open that door to emptiness
A better life awaits you outside.

Just a beautiful and poignanat way to express the loneliness we all sometimes experience at the end of a relationship, and the hope we have that life will be better. Wonderful!
