Value in My Pocket

Don Rothra
I have something of value,
But its worth depends upon you.
It's burning a hole in my pocket,
But first, I must know you'll be true.

If you ever saw it, you'd want it.
It would fit you right down to a tee.
It would give you a thrill and you'd flaunt it,
But to have it you'd also have me.

If you reached in my pocket you'd find it.
You'd know right away what it is.
But you'd have to decide right that minute,
If mine is bigger than his.

He showed you his as a token,
So you'd know what he could provide.
But I know the stories he's spoken,
And I'm here to show you he lied.

So pull this thing out of my pocket.
You can hold it to make up your mind.
But make no mistake while you're thinking,
There is only one of its kind.

I had it made special for you, dear,
The decision is all up to you.
Choose the short term romance there waiting,
Or a ring from someone who's true.
