Vampires, a Different View

When it comes to vampires many people instinctively think of the Hollywood portrayal in which vampires hunt down innocent members of society in order to feed of off them and fulfill their thirst for blood. They are often portrayed as evil beings that only emerge at night to stalk the dark alleys of towns and cities in search of their next victim. This portrayal by Hollywood is of course seen as fictional and most people are content with their belief that vampires only exist in fiction and fantasy stories, although this idea is the traditional view and many find comfort in that it just might be incorrect. What if the so called vampire actually existed? If that statement intrigues you then by all means read on as I am about to unveil some ideas not known by many in modern society.

The idea that there might be some fact in all the myth surrounding vampires is skeptical at best to most people and I was one of them until recently. Even so I have been led to believe there just might be some fact hidden beneath all the misconceptions that plague modern views on the idea. My interest on the topic started only recently when I accidentally stumbled upon a website claiming to have information concerning "real" vampires. At first like most people I was intrigued but skeptical at most about the possibility of vampires actually existing and living in modern day society.

This website however convinced me as the creator simply stated that the purpose was not to convince anyone of the existence or non existence of vampires but to inform people on the medical condition of vampirism and its effects on people affected by it. Apparently real vampires are not all that different from normal everyday members of society, most seem to consider themselves people and have regular lives and normal families. The only difference as I understand it is that they have a craving for energy in the form of blood which they acquire from willing donors if they are lucky enough to find one. What they don't seem to do is go around hunting for people to feed off of which seems surprising considering the fictional aspect that is so popular in Western society.
