Crime reporter who spoke to Joran van der Sloot in jail says he 'has no emotion' | Mail Online: "Under Peruvian law, Van der Sloot is not eligible to be released on bail and will be tried by a panel of three judges rather than a jury.

It's rather though odd to say van der Sloot has no emotion and then conclude that he seems calm and normal at times and other times like a killer.

I have given up on trying to locate a confession. It seems van der Sloot wings it on the confession front, oblivious to the effects that any statement he makes might have. Maybe he has an intuitive sense that the more he puts out there the less likely the truth will ever be discovered.

The other thing I get from all this is the evident support van der Sloot has out there. I supose we should remember that most of the criminal-heros of the past were also likkers. Somehow the hero worship manages to bypass that formidable obstacle.

Maybe war exists in part to enable people to kill without being held accountable.

Oh, and one other thing. Joran van der Sloot could be convicted in Peru by a vote of 2-1 by that three judge panel.

Joran van der Sloot Could Be Convicted in Peru By A 2-1 Vote. This post points to one of the more illuminating collection of facts about Joran van der Sloot. An extensive video and competently reported story.
