Van Halen Reunites for 2012 World Tour!
Van Halen ...the superior Thunder-Gods of rock... are getting back together cuz they need the cash for a World Tour in 2012. I was JUST talking about this! Christmas Eve, while we were driving through the boonies, where time is perpetually stuck in 1987, they were having a Van Halen marathon, and we were talking about the time we saw them at the United Center the last time they reunited with David Lee Roth , and how epic it was. Then the usual argument ensued about our favorite songs, mine being "Panama", their's being "Hot for Teacher".."Panama" OBVIOUSLY the superior of the two, right? And here they announced a tour 2 days later. Ooonagi, people. I need my own Psychic channel.
I freaking LOVE Diamond Dave. Small Fry's first concert was seeing him at Ribfest... because I am the best mother in the world, of course!
Wolfgang Van Halen is still the bassist this time, Michael Anthony isn't making a cameo, but that's ok. I think he was like, 17, or something when we saw them last and he was pretty good. Eddie had seen better days, and Dave needed an iron lung, but haven't we all at one point. Back in 2010 their last world tour had to be cancelled so Eddie could go to rehab. That was a bummer, so hopefully they're going to keep it together this time around.
No specific dates or cities have been announced, but tickets are going on sale January 10th. You know they're coming to Chicago and I. Am. So. There. $10 if you yell "Play 'Right Now'!!!", "Where's Sammy?!" or "Sharone ROCKS!"
