Vandella Costumes Bodybuilding Posing Suit- Product and Customer Service Review

After my first bodybuilding event I was fortunate to have Vandella Costumes sponsor me with a posing suit for my 2010 ABA Natural North America Bodybuilding, Fitness and Figure Championships event in August. For an athlete, any sponsorship is a blessing; especially when it comes to the cost of high end expenses such as posing suits. This was a way to save money, receive a wonderful suit and a great way for a small business to get extra marketing.

Kira Jones, owner of Vandella Costumes, was very kind and told me I could choose the suit of my liking or I could leave the decision to her. I really liked the idea of being surprised so I chose the fabric swatch which was turquoise with blue and silver glitter stripes and asked her to choose the style, cut and design. I sent my measurements to Vandella Costumes in late May so there would be ample time to create the suit.

Once that was out of the way, I spent the next four weeks concentrating on training and dieting. At the end of the month I sent Vandella Costumes updated measurements and received a response that my suit could be sent to me for a fitting; along with my training partner's.

Wrong Mailing Address

Both suits were sent to the mailing address on the PayPal account only to find the address was no longer in use by my training partner. After nearly three weeks of waiting for posing suits we realized the suits were lost in the mail. I called Jones to inform her of the news and within minutes she began calling the postal service in Aurora, IL, as well as, the apartment complex to locate the suits. She was told they were sent back to Vandella Costumes, which is located in South Carolina.

One Week Later

My training partner and I were within two weeks of the ABA bodybuilding show and still did not have suits. Jones had been waiting for the returned suits but they were never received. I was notified late in the week that the suits had never made it back to Vandella Costumes.

The weekend passed and I was on pins and needles. It was now Monday before the show and I received a call from Vandella Costumes saying the suits were being made that day. I was reassured that my partner and I would have suits and not too worry. I couldn't believe that Jones was promising something like this due to the close timing and the nature of the posing suits. Each suit is made to order so there is no size template such as small, medium, large or extra large. The only thing I could do now was wait.

Vandella Costumes Delivers

On the Wednesday before the bodybuilding show I received a package from Vandella Costumes containing my partner's posing suit, as well as, my posing suit. Jones chose a triangle top style with crystals lining the outer edge of the top and bottom of the suit. There were scattered crystals throughout the front and it was gorgeous. More importantly, the suit fit me like a glove. There was not a stitch out of line or a missing crystal; everything was perfect and I could not have been happier.
