Vanderbilt Street Playground Opens in Park Slope

The renovations at the Vanderbilt Street Playground in Prospect Park took some time, but it was definitely worth the wait. Parents can enjoy the great views of Prospect Park Lake while the little ones play. The park now has plenty of structures for children in different age groups and plenty of seating.

There is a gated off section designated for toddlers that had a slide, steering wheels and a water statue that kids can wind up. The toddler area has a lot of interactive objects and sitting areas. The swings are not in the gated area, but they are nearby.

The play area for older children is on the other side of the park and it has a very popular rope climbing wall. There is also a jungle gym, slides and a few spinning structures. Vanderbilt Street Playground is sure to be busy in the summer with its new water area.
