Vanessa Hudgens Nude Pictures Leaked on Net

The New York Daily News reports that some new, or technically old, racy pictures of Vanessa Hudgens have been leaked on the net. The pictures are old in that they were allegedly taken when Vanessa Hudgens was 17 and underage. Is this a new Vanessa Hudgens scandal old news? The photos are several years old and this is the second time in recent years that indecent pictures of the High School Musical actress have been leaked and posted on the Internet. The first time, it was shocking. The second time... not so much.

I've seen this movie before or, rather, I feel that this newest Vanessa Hudgens nude photo scandal has either gone into re-runs or I am catching its sequel. Her first nude photo scandal was back in 2007 and the High School Musical star was mortified. She apologized to her fans, explaining that the photo was meant to be a private photo for her boyfriend at the time. As a parent, I could buy that teenagers can do stupid things. She seemed genuinely sorry.

However, like a bad Britney Spears train wreck, parents of High School Musical fans are left scratching their heads wondering how this could happen again. These new photos now surfacing of the topless Disney diva are allegedly several years old. Just how many topless pictures of her were taken? Are more to come? Can we expect to hear about nude photos on a semi-regular basis?

Is Vanessa Hudgens Breaking Free of High School Musical?

Perhaps this newest topless photo scandal is meant to give the young High School Musical star a boost? Though she is still widely popular, Vanessa Hudgens may be getting a bit old to be playing a High School student. Remember Gabrielle Carteris on 90210? Enough said. Another nude scandal now won't hurt her as much because she is likely done with the High School Musical franchise because in HSM3 her character graduated high school moved to California to attend college. If she did appear in the next installment, HSM4, I'd imagine her role would be quite limited. Thus, her newest nude photo scandal would either die down by the time HSM4 hit cable or would not matter much since her role would be not a starring one.

Do fans deserve yet another apology from Vanessa Hudgens?

In a word, no. It is my belief as a parent of a Gabriella Montez fan that we don't need an apology for these leaked Vanessa Hudgens pictures. To offer one now, again, for the same offense as last time makes an apology seem trite. As I mentioned, Vanessa Hudgens is getting a bit old to be playing a high schooler for Disney and I don't expect to see her in many more Disney movies that would be age appropriate for my child, a HSM4 appearance notwithstanding.

Her newest movie, Bandslam, is due out in theaters on August 14. I view the Vanessa Hudgens photo scandal 2009 as nothing more than a publicity grab by someone wanting to generate interest in Vanessa Hudgens in advance of the movie premiere.
