Vanilla Blueberry Blondies for Dogs: A Review

Chen Salis
Last week I was shopping at a favorite store of mine, Big Lots, when I ran across a treat for my dogs that I could not resist buying. Vanilla Blueberry Blondies, an all natural treat for dogs made by the Lazy Dog cooking company. These appealed to me because they are made with organic and human grade quality ingredients. I paid $1 for a 2.8 ounce soft baked treat bar.

My dogs went wild for Vanilla Blueberry Blondies. They performed a variety of tricks to have another bite of this sweet doggy treat. Little did they know this treat is actually good for them! It is packed with antioxidants, vitamins and fiber from the natural blueberries, and the treat is free from wheat soy and corn ingredients.

If you want to make this treat even softer and more delicious, toss it in your microwave for 5 to 10 seconds depending on the cooking power of your microwave, of course before feeding make sure the treat is not too hot, you would not want to burn their tongues, mouths and throats. The treats are apparently quite fantastic straight out of the packaging also!

I have tried to find other treats made by The Lazy Dog cooking company but I have had no luck. It figures! When you find a great product at a discount shop like Big Lots you do have to wonder if it has been discontinued. My dogs loved Vanilla Blueberry Blondies so much I made another trip up to the neighboring town who has a Big Lots and purchased five more Blondie's for my boys as a special reward. We have been rationing them out, hoping to find more of these great dog friendly treats at affordable prices.

My dogs really liked that these treats were soft, and when served warm they gobbled them up even faster. As this is a large treat it is a good idea to break or cut it into smaller pieces, it is a very generous sized treat. The treats did not smell like something a human would want to eat, but dogs definitely love these!

If you are able to find any treats made by The Lazy Dog cooking company I would strongly recommend you purchase at least one treat to indulge your four legged friend with. Every dog deserves a healthy and nutritious soft baked dessert style treat from time to time.
