1 lb sugar, white or brown
1 can evaporated milk
1 tsp vanilla essence
2 tbsp margarine
PreparationDissolve the sugar into the milk. Then boil them in a pot, stirring all the time, until a sample of the mixture forms a soft ball when dropped into cold water.
Add the essence and margarine. Lightly beat the mixture. Then pour into a greased pan.
When it has cooled and still soft, cut into blocks. For a twist you can add chopped nuts just before beating.
