Alternative treatments that will help strengthen your veins are quercetin, grape seed, and pine bark. Take two 500 - 600 mgs of quercetin three times a day with meals. Quercetin helps to strengthen the walls of the veins enabling blood to flow smoothly. Quercetin works to completely vanish and prevent blue and swollen varicose veins. Another alternative treatment you can use to help strengthen veins is grape seed or pine bark. Take 150 to 300 mgs of either one everyday to help vanish varicose veins. You can also eat more cherries, blueberries, and blackberries to get the same results.
These herbal treatments work to heal and vanish varicose veins. Taking the herb horse chestnut keeps your veins toned and can help prevent varicose veins. Take 300 mgs or 30 drops of horse chestnut tincture twice a day for an unlimited time. To prevent swelling, which can cause pain, take 100 mgs three times a day of butcher's broom for an unlimited time. Make sure it has 10 percent ruscogenin in it. To protect your veins, take some bilberry and gotu kola. Take 80 mgs of bilberry three times a day when you first notice varicose veins and 60-120 mgs a day of gotu kola. Be sure the bilberry has 25 percent of the ingredient anthocyanoside and gotu kola has 50 mgs of the ingredient triterpenic acids.
A couple of supplements that work to prevent and vanish varicose veins are bromelain and vitamin C. Bromelain is very effective in preventing veins from hardening and swelling. Take 500 mg of bromelain three times a day with meals. Increasing your vitamin C intake can also help strengthen the veins. Take 2,000-3,000 mgs a day of vitamin C on a continuing basis.
To help improve circulation in your legs follow these alternative treatments. A hot and cold footbath helps improve the circulation in your legs, preventing and vanishing varicose veins. Fill two large bowls, one with ice-cold water and the other with very warm (almost hot) water. Alternate the treatment by putting your feet in the cold water for about a minute, then putting them in the warm water for a couple of minutes. Keep doing this treatment three times ending it with your feet in the cold water.
Exercising works great to improve circulation. You can either walk, do aerobic exercises, or get a leg workout by jogging, walking, or doing leg movements in a swimming pool. Do these exercises for at least 20 minutes a day to help vanish varicose veins. Finally, when you go to sleep be sure your legs are elevated in order to help the circulation in your legs.
