Vaseline Intensive Care Total Moisture Dry Skin Lotion Product Review

Alexandra Morgan
Some people have a good bit of natural oils and don't fall prey to dry skin and the need for twice daily hand lotion applications. But for those of you (like me) who need heavy duty moisturizing hand cream and like to have a bottle at-the-ready at all times, Vaseline Intensive Care Total Moisture Dry Skin Lotion may be for you.

Vaseline Intensive Care Total Moisture Dry Skin Lotion Product Review: Product Performance

I have been a long time fan of Vaseline products, from the standard petroleum jelly to the Vitamin E body oil, so I expected a lot from Vaseline Intensive Care Total Moisture Dry Skin Lotion.

I was shocked upon my first application to find that the lotion is quite thin and spreads quickly and evenly, a little dollop goes a long way. For some reason I guess I was expecting a thick gloppy mess. Though the lotion does spread easily (and that's a big plus), it leaves a greasy sticky film on the skin which makes it very hard to handle anything afterward.

Another point of note which might affect people with very sensitive skin is that this particular lotion is fairly heavily perfumed, so if you prefer your lotion to have a very light aroma, you may want to try another lotion.

Vaseline Intensive Care Total Moisture Dry Skin Lotion Product Review: Overall

Even though I wasn't pleased with the greasy after effects of Vaseline Intensive Care Total Moisture Dry Skin Lotion I certainly wasn't going to give up after one try. So, I have faithfully been using the lotion every night for about a month, and to good results. Everything that a lotion is supposed to do, this lotion does, and that makes up for any filmy residue in my opinion. My recommendation would be to just use this lotion at night, that way anything sticky will have absorbed into the skin by morning.

Vaseline Intensive Care Total Moisture Dry Skin Lotion Product Review: Conclusion

Vaseline Intensive Care Total Moisture Dry Skin Lotion is sold most everywhere and at a very reasonable price, Amazon is currently featuring a 20.3 oz bottle for $9.99. With application only needed once daily, one bottle should last a few months making this a great buy. I'm quite happy with this intensive therapy dry skin lotion and will replenish it when it's gone.

good review, sounds like it might have been good to have on my recent overseas trip.

Great review! It's good to know that this product is heavily scented; as someone who's very sensitive to that kind of thing, I'll have to avoid it.
