Los Gatos Park and Recreation has a hidden gem just off Blossom Hill Road where the cities of San Jose, Campbell, and Los Gatos, California borders meet:Vasona Park Los Gatos. The park has been a summer playground for local Los Gatos children for decades. The park isn't obvious to the casual visitor, because the entrance is hidden among houses along Blossom Hill Road. Ask any child, however, where they can paddle boat, fish for crappie, blue gill, and bass, play bocce ball, softball, catch frogs, ride Billy Jones Wildcat Railroad, go round and round on a real carousel, or ride their bikes for miles on the Los Gatos Creek Trail, and they will tell you-Vasona Park Los Gatos.

Connected to Los Gatos Vasona Park is Oak Meadow Park. Oak Meadow Park is famous throughout Los Gatos. It has a small playground with something you won't find in most playgrounds: a real fire engine and jet. What child hasn't dreamed of ringing the bell as a fire truck races down the road? Or fantasized about sitting in the cockpit of a real fighter jet? Of course the playground has the usual play equipment too. Parents bring their kids here to play for hours each summer. And because Los Gatos weather is mild throughout much of the year, Vasona Park and Oak Meadow Park are both favorite after school hangouts too. In fact, Vasona has year-round offerings.

Summer Concerts Vasona Park-

For several years Vasona has hosted free outdoor concerts every Saturday in June and July. The concerts are held overlooking Vasona Lake and Los Gatos Creek Trail. It runs for 9 weeks and features well known local artists. The style of music varies from acoustic to big band, from jazz, to traditional and folk. Bring your own picnic dinner for an evening the whole family will enjoy.

Winter Holiday display Vasona Park-

Vasona becomes a Christmas Holiday wonderland as visitors get to drive through the park after dark to enjoy the spirit of Christmas. Businesses throughout Los Gatos and Santa Clara County, transform Vasona Park into holiday magic. Lights, trees, elves, Reindeer, music, bells, and all the beauty of the season greet you...and you never have to leave your car. A drive through the park gets you in the holiday mood and is a favorite place for locals to bring holiday guests.

Vasona Park Los Gatos has stayed a local delight for more than 35 years and maintenance by the crew of Santa Clara County is superior. To visit Vasona Park Los Gatos, Take Highway 85, exit at Los Gatos Blvd. Turn right on Blossom Hill Road towards the town of Los Gatos. The entrance to Vasona Park is on the right. Oak Meadow Park is just past the entrance to Vasona off Blossom Hill Road.
