Vaultz Storage Can Keep Your CDs and DVDs Safe and Secure!
I Will Never Buy Anything Other Than a Vaultz Case for My Media Storage Needs!
Vaultz CD Wallets come in various sizes
The CD Wallets are made to hold either 24-64 CDs depending on the size. I purchased the larger one with 64 CDs. This 2-up CD case has the sleeves connected to the case so there is no worry of them disconnecting. The material that makes up the sleeves is strong so there is no worry of them ripping either.
Each CD Wallet is made up of a super strong material with metal edges. According to the website "It can support over three hundred pounds of pressure without breaking". I don't plan on a 300 pound person standing on my CD case any time soon, but it is nice to know that I won't have to worry if a kid sits or someone steps on it on accident. The CDs inside will be safe and secure.
The CD Wallets come with a strong latch that snaps open and shut with ease. There is no more zippers! I got tired of the zippers of my old case which got harder and harder to open over time. There is an optional key lock in the latch that can be used if the data inside is secret. I use my case for photo CDs only, so I see no need to lock it. However the option is there if you have secure CDs that you don't want anyone to access. The lock may also be good to protect your CDs from curious kids who may take them out and break them. I've saved the keys for my Vaultz in case I have to protect them from kids in the future.
Vaultz Media Binders allow for even more storage options
Though I loved my Vaultz CD Wallet for my photo CDs, it wasn't large enough for my 80 Music CDs. So we went out to get the Vaultz Media Binder instead. The Media Binder can hold128 - 200 CDs depending on which one you get. These Binders hold 4 CDs or booklets per page. Instead of the sleeves being connected to the product, the Binders are actually 3-ring binders on the inside. You can buy various inserts to hold CDs, Disks, Business Cards or Paper. With the Media Binder, you can easily customize your Vaultz to hold exactly what you want.
The Media Binders are made up of the same material as the CD Wallets, so your CDs and DVDs are still just as safe and secure as they could be. Depending on which one you get, you'll either get 2 strong latches or just 1. One of th Vaultz Media Binders come with a combination lock. We purchased this one, even though we didn't plan to lock it, just because it meant we didn't have to deal with keys.
After only a few hours of owning this, I found the combination lock to be a big mistake. Setting the combination is a little tricky, and even though I was 99% sure I set it correctly, once I locked it I could not open it. There are actually two locks per case and I got the left lock set up just fine, but the right lock would not open. I ended up trying all combination possibilities from 000-999 multiple times and it would not open. I think the combination got messed up when I tried to set it and wasn't even properly set. Vaultz paper work clearly states that they will not help you with lost combinations, so I knew we couldn't return it.
I decided to break in to it. I broke the lock and I found out that once I removed the combination portion, I was still able to open and shut the case. I ended up breaking off the other combination lock as well so I would never have to worry about my stuff getting locked in again. In the future, I would not buy this product with the combination lock but instead with the lock and key only. It is way too easy to mess up he combination lock or reset the combo, so it seems likely that many people get their stuff locked in.
Other than the lock, I really like this binder. It will hold all my music with their paper sleeves and I have room for plenty more. I can buy more inserts until I can't fit anymore!
Review Takeaway: Vaultz CD cases and binders are a great strong product - buy then for all your CD needs today! Just be careful about that combination lock.
