Vegan Eggnog Recipes

W.S.
Eggnog is a delicious treat during the holidays. Detailed in this article are two methods of making vegan eggnog that everyone will love.

Vegan Eggnog Recipes - Hard Eggnog

If you like rum in your vegan eggnog, this is the recipe for you. In my house we usually make one batch of this for the adults and one batch of the soft vegan eggnog for the kids.

Ingredients:

2 ½ cups silken tofu

2 cups soy milk

1 tablespoon vanilla

¾ cup sugar

2 tablespoons maple syrup

½ teaspoon nutmeg

1 cup rum

Directions: Combine all of the ingredients in a blender or food processor.

Process until smooth and thoroughly combined. Chill the vegan eggnog for at least two hours in the refrigerator before serving.

Serve with grated nutmeg sprinkled on top, if desired.

Vegan Eggnog Recipes - Soft Eggnog

If you like your vegan eggnog without liquor, try this recipe. This one is a favorite of kids and adults.

Ingredients:

1 cup rice milk

1/3 cup macadamia nuts, soaked overnight

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 teaspoon maple syrup

¼ teaspoon nutmeg

1 frozen banana

Combine all of the ingredients in a blender or food processor.

Process until smooth and thoroughly combined. Chill the vegan eggnog for at least two hours in the refrigerator before serving.

Serve with grated nutmeg sprinkled on top, if desired.

If you like the soft vegan eggnog recipe more than the hard vegan eggnog recipe, you could always add one cup of rum to the existing recipe. Enjoy!
