Vegetarian Chicken Soup Review: Amy's Soups Organic No Chicken Noodle Soup

This Canned Soup was Excellent and I like to Have it on Hand for when We Get a Cold

It was quite some time ago that my son was sick. I am extremely grateful that he is not sick very often. The last time that he was sick with a mild cold I decided to make him some soup. He had tried very little soup before as he was only one at the time but I assumed that he would enjoy the warm broth. Being vegetarians I didn't make him chicken soup, although I did use some vegetarian chicken-like flavoring. Well it turned out that my soup was not what my son was wanting but I didn't blame that on the fact that it was vegetarian. I tasted it and thought that the chicken-like flavoring was good and I would have liked it even more had I been sick. Recently while in the grocery store I came across a can of organic no chicken noodle soup. This sounded like the perfect thing to have on hand if me or my son were to get sick.

The can was of Amy's Soups Organic No Chicken Noodle Soup. Prior to getting this soup I had gotten a can of Tomato Bisque, three of their burritos, Bean and No Cheese, Bean and Cheddar Cheese and Non-Dairy Breakfast and prior to that long ago I tried Amy's Vegetarian Organic Refried Beans. I liked the company very much and was looking forward to eating this soup, although I wasn't looking forward to someone in the household getting sick. Oddly enough not but a week after getting the soup I found myself feeling a wee be icky with a plugged milk duct. It was not a bad one but it still made me feel like I needed to rest up a bit. I looked at getting the plugged milk duct and feeling a little under the weather as a great opportunity to try the soup. As a silver lining feeling icky made it so I got to try the Amy's Soups Organic No Chicken Noodle Soup.

When you are feeling under the weather the last thing that you want to do is to spend a lot of time in the kitchen. Thankfully heating up this vegetarian no chicken soup was very easy. It didn't require any added water and only needed to be heated in a saucepan for less than ten minutes on low-medium heat. I was so glad that I got the Amy's Soups Organic No Chicken Noodle Soup because it was absolutely delicious. It was far better than the soup I had made when my son was sick and the broth was very, very soothing. The pasta was not overcooked and neither were any of the vegetables. I was very pleased by this, despite being a canned soup it really was bringing a lot of excellent flavor to the table. Along with some toast the two cup can filled me up and I got some nice nutrition from the canned soup.

The Amy's Soups No Chicken Noodle Soup is made of filtered water, organic onions, organic noodles made of organic semolina flour and water, organic carrots, organic tofu, organic celery, organic leeks, hydrolyzed corn and soy protein, spices, organic high oleic safflower and/or sunflower oil, sea salt and yeast extract. There was two servings in the can and in each serving there was ninety calories with twenty-five calories from fat. There was four hundred and forty milligrams of sodium, twelve grams of carbohydrates, five grams of protein, four grams of sugars and two grams of fiber in every serving as well. The minerals and vitamins section listed for every serving forty percent for vitamin A, ten percent for vitamin C, four percent for iron and half of that for calcium. I thought both the ingredients and nutrition facts looked pretty good.

I definitely want to have a can of Amy's Soups No Chicken Noodle Soup on hand for when ever someone gets sick. It cost two dollars and thirty-four cents when it is not on sale. I would rather pay a little bit less that next time that I get this soup so I think that I will wait for it to go on sale. I would recommend for anyone to give it a try, I am glad that I did.
