Fair Grinds Coffeehouse
Though this is not a technical vegetarian restaurant in the direct sense of the word "restaurant," it is still my favorite vegetarian place to visit in New Orleans. They offer coffee, vegan pastries, tai chi, yoga and much more and all of it is just pleasant. It is very cheap, as it is a coffeehouse, and it does not disappoint. If you are in New Orleans and are looking for a vegetarian or vegan place to eat, Fair Grinds Coffeehouse is the place to go.
Juan's Flying Burrito
This Mexican-style vegetarian restaurant offers extremely cheap prices for the amount of food you get. They have huge burritos that are just plainly delicious. Everything they serve is that same way. For a vegetarian restaurant, Juan's Flying Burrito does it right. Most vegetarian restaurants are quaint and do not offer much, but this specific vegetarian restaurant sure does and is worth your time to visit if you are in New Orleans.
La Macarena Pupuseria and Latin Cafe
La Macarena Pupuseria offers a great array of vegan-friendly foods at a relatively inexpensive amount for a sit-down restaurant. While many might be turned away from its not so vegetarian atmosphere, it is still completely vegetarian and offers a great deal for anyone who comes in. If you ever visit New Orleans, this vegetarian restaurant is one to visit, as it is one of the best vegetarian restaurants in New Orleans.
Coquette
Though this vegetarian restaurant in New Orleans is pretty expensive, it is definitely worth it. The food is great here. It is not a strictly vegetarian restaurant, as they do serve meat. However, it does adhere to the vegetarian and vegan crowd as New Orleans is filled with vegetarians. Coquette is one of the best vegetarian restaurants in the city of New Orleans and should definitely be considered when visiting New Orleans whether you are a vegetarian or not.
Cafe Bamboo
Cafe Bamboo offers a delicious mixture of vegetarian and vegan-friendly foods. This vegetarian restaurant is much less expensive than the prior vegetarian restaurant, but it does not sacrifice flavor. This is one of my favorite New Orleans vegetarian restaurants simply because they are open so late! I love getting midnight snacks, but it is tough to do when one is a vegetarian. Cafe Bamboo solves this problem completely with their vegetarian and vegan foods. If you are visiting New Orleans any time soon it is a must to visit Cafe Bamboo.
