Venezuela's Problems Stemming from Chavez, Will Be America's Problem from Obama's Election!

Foreboding Issues from a Socialist Style Government in the U.S

Slasher
This editorial is for all the leftists, like Sexton, Musal, Deez and their ilk, who think think that Socialism is the way to go. The ones that think it's always greener on the other side. So going in the manner of CP Snidely Whiplash's recent post. I too would like to use an article written by the TheEconomist.com (author unknown),on Sept/12/2008 about Hugo Chavez's mounting woes with his socialist style rule. This is only a snippet but makes all my points for why conservative
government is better in all circumstances. So here goes.

On November 23rd he faces local elections, in which he is likely to lose several big state governorships as well as other posts. All but one of the country's 23 states are up for grabs, together with the capital, Caracas, and 330 municipalities. Inflation (of over 30% a year), rampant crime, electricity blackouts and deficient public services have all eroded support for his government. Mr Chávez, whose own popularity is holding up relatively well, seems unable to stop the rot.

Internationally, his standing has been affected by a number of scandals. Several top government officials have been tainted by serious corruption allegations in a trial currently under way in Miami. On September 12th Venezuela's two most senior intelligence officers and a former interior minister were placed on a United States' Treasury Department blacklist for allegedly collaborating with Colombian terrorists and drug-traffickers. More damning revelations are expected.

So to reiterate for you what I was trying to convey. Socialism breeds inflation, shortages, long lines at the stores, government corruption, disappearing middle class, and as the gist of the remainder of the article which spoke of his continued assertions that the US is planning for his assassination the key ingredient of a socialist/marxist persona,.....constant paranoia.

In my past posts I have reiterated that in a communist/socialist government you are either well off or you are a peon. There is no in between. Socialism breeds corruption mainly because of shortages. When there are things one needs whether it be legal, health care or consumable. Shortages cause people to either pay under the table, do favors for or, know someone high up or in the right posts to see to those needs. Americans who have never had to live in this type of oppression cannot possibly comprehend what it means to exist in an environment as such. They can't fathom having the enforcers come to your house and say that from now on this house is not yours, there are only 3 people living in this house of 4 bedrooms, so you have 72 hours to vacate to an apartment and there is a family of six moving in. Then when you see who moves in, it turns out that some bureaucrat pulled some strings and took care of a friend. It will be like that in all aspects of your life, including your job. They will ask you to work on Saturday or a Holiday and when you find out you're not getting paid, they'll tell you that your doing your part for the party, and shut the hell up if you know whats good for you. Lenin once refered to people who were unaware of or were in denial of the existance of a police state and unaware of what really was happening to them but were in support of his regime as "useful idiots". Musal and Sexton and the rest fall into this category. I really don't care that Sexton is a revered CP here, because in my opinion intelligence doesn't automatically translate to common sense.

Now these are some examples of what I've experienced under Soc/Com. The gist of this post is that under Obama it will be identical. It may not happen right away as with Chavez but it will creep into your life slowly and stealthily and the media will be willing accomplices. As it happened in Russia, slowly and surely will happen here. Read the communist manifestos in the book Das Kapital by Karl Marx and you will be able to draw similarities (if you actually have an open mind which liberals claim conservatives don't have) between what marx wanted and what obama stands for.

Now I know that inevitably there will be leftist detractors whom I consider enemies of America, will try to spin this opinion against conservatism, citing bogus rightwing evils, but in the real world there is no hiding and no way to spin actual fact or deny that these points that I've stated are true, true, true. One must be in total denial or are unwilling to acknowledge that America is in real danger of losing the very core convictions that has separated us from the rest of the world and made this beloved country so great with a unique schematic for democracy, freedom, and prosperity.

    Hrumph hrumph Amanda,
I look at liberals as birds eating free birdseed from a bird feeder that one might hang in the backyard. Something for nothing.

All the important points made here. Liberals are not trading in reality. As T. Jefferson said: "Any government big enough to give you everything is a government big enough to take away everything."

Thanks Anne, now if we could just turn our bleeding heart liberals from the dark side.
