The way Jeff presents himself is outstanding. It's almost as if he is just having a conversation with the puppet and we just get to come along for the ride, and it's always a ride you'll never forget. He acts casually and you can tell that he is always having a lot of fun doing it. Another great aspect about his performance is that he likes to get the audience involved in the conversation. He'll either point out a guy with a bald head and make some jokes about that or even just pick a random person from the audience and pretty much do a hilarious interview. One skit I remember most is when he was telling the audience about how there was a group of deaf people at the performance. Of course he had to do something with that, so basically he gave the signer some trouble by just saying random words until he eventually said nothing and just moved the puppets mouth. The signer had nothing to sign, but the deaf people saw the puppet's mouth moving so they were wondering why the signer was just standing there doing nothing! This may sound completely awful and rude, but if you think about it for a minute you'll understand how this is a great way to get anybody involved in the performance, even people who can't hear a word you're saying! That had to be a night they would never forget!
The only downside is that he does use quite a bit of strong language and sexual connotations that would not be appropriate for a younger audience. Yet other than that, Jeff Dunham is a phenominal performer and anyone who wants to laugh their head off should attend one of his shows or even buy his DVD entitled "Arguing with Myself." Just wait until you see Jose Jalepeno..... on a stick!!!!

Post a CommentUnfortunately Connor, there is not. That was one part of his taped show "Arguing with Myself" in which he mentions the joke.
IS there a video of that show involving the deaf group of people? I would so love to see that. Jeff is absolutely amazing though, one in a million!
