Venus and Her Transits

According to famed astrologer Robert Hand, the effects of Venus astrology come and go quickly. Close to planet earth, this planet of love and beauty changes position often enough so that its effects are tacit. I like to announce to friends, tongue in cheek, whenever a Venus transit applies. They usually ask what it means, and I tell them they get to be better looking for one day. This always gets a laugh.

Venus' influence happens to be a little more pertinent when accompanying other planetary transits. Usually this too has a flash-in-the-pan impact. All the same, with several other planets involved, this moment in time could end up having a long-standing import.

Venus is the planet that shines so constantly in the night skies that she can hold a viewer spellbound as if at will. In mythology, Venus' power to seduce was so captivating that she could lead a man through a dark, and complicated labyrinth through which he would follow at great length.

Venus, the goddess of love, was also known as Aphrodite. She was the one who mortals could pray to when love problems entered into relationships. Venus is associated with the signs of Libra and of Taurus. When Venus is associated with Libra, the effects result in more refinement than Taurus' with its down to earth, physical manifestations. Libra is a "you" oriented person who watches over relationships with diligent care.

Whenever there's a comfortable placement of Venus, malevolent transits are softened. Positive transits are heightened.

Venus imparts an important lesson about love.

One must be able to love after knowing the partner at a deeper level than the initial attraction. Learning to know a partner happens only after going through struggles together.Venus symbolism paints a realistic picture of love relationships, a good thing to keep in mind when considering the love of your life.
